Get Involved

One of the simplest ways to get involved with the Faculty Association is to volunteer for one of the many committees. We currently have a number of openings:

Equity Committee
Collective Bargaining Committee (TTTF)
Finance Committee
Governance Committee

Joint Health and Safety Committees

Deadline to apply for consideration for any of these positions is Monday June 19, 2017.

If you are interested in a more hands-on role at the Faculty Association, we have one opening on the Executive:

Treasurer

Equity Committee

The FA Equity Committee is one of the newest committees at the Faculty Association. During its first stages, it is currently working to find ways to ensure equitable practices are present both at UOIT and within the Faculty Association itself. Click here to apply for this position.

Collective Bargaining Committee
Although Teaching Faculty are currently working on negotiating their second agreement, it is important to also note that Tenured and Tenure-Track Faculty’s agreement will be expiring this coming academic year. We need a group of people willing to take on the work leading up to negotiations. This will include surveying the membership to determine our priorities, as well as finding ways to ensure the community at large is aware of our negotiations. Click here to apply for this position.
