The UOIT Faculty Association stands in full solidarity with striking full- and part-time instructors, senior lab instructors, and academic librarian members at the University of Northern British Columbia.
This small, newly formed union of faculty at UNBC decided to take on job action after over two years of failed negotiations. UNBC FA members are paid less than faculty members are similar institutions.
Faculty Members voted 85% in favour of giving the executive a strike mandate: a move that should undoubtedly send a strong message to the UNBC administration.
